Complex of Guided Artillery Weaponry with Laser Semiactive Self-Guidance (CGAWLSSG) is intended for equipping the tubing artillery systems with caliber of 155 mm.Complex provides effective defeating tanks; multiple rocket launchers; armored vehicles; defensive fortifications (pillboxes, bunkers, buildings, equipped for defense and the others); self-propelled and towed artillery systems; command, control, communications, computer and intelligence (C4I) centers; bridges and water crossings; surface targets (combatant, landing or transport ships).

Equipping of artillery units provides the tubing artillery with principally new abilities:
- allows to change the traditional way of firing the group targets (“firing at squares”) for highly precise defeating of individual targets - including point targets such as tanks, IFVs, field fortifications and others - with a high probability of first round shot. At the same time the demands to the firing zone are reduced and to the artillery defensive fire;
- artillery unit can fire at group targets without changing gun settings, calculated relatively to the center of targets’ grouping;
- allows to fire without full meteorological and ballistic preparation. This ability is provided with an ability of projectile “to see” illuminated point without mentioning a vibration of meteorological state, together with efficient mobility of projectile to guide at the illuminated target.

- Operation Principles

- after firing, a projectile flies along a ballistic trajectory;
- at a given time, it will switch on the projectile’s onboard apparatus;
- at a given time, occurs nose cone shooting;
- on the descending branch of the trajectory, the projectile enters into the inertial guidance mode;
- while projectile’s approaching at a certain distance to the target, the laser target designator/rangefinder will be switched on “ the illumination mode”, and with the help of laser semi-active homing will "capture“ the target signal and begin projectile’s guidance to the target;
- inclusion in sync by the LCD illumination mode target carried out through a communication link for media type 1A35 shot synchronization means;
- guidance system provides a projectile hit the top (least secure) the projection of the circuit.
- Laser Rangefinder/Designator
- Laser rangefinder/designator is intended for use from position on terrain with the help of tripod and self-contained power supply or can be mounted on command vehicle, reconnaissance vehicle and the like.
